Project Overview
On day 1 agents offering Trips in certain destinations (as 1st Milestone) would be able to search for relevant activities, with curated content, real time price calculation, as well as nice visualization for their customers.

As an initiative contributes to one of the most important initiatives on our 2020-21 roadmap - Offer Automation, we would like to improve painful and time-consuming process of booking a trip, by replacing redundent manual search and input, update, and cross-team collaborations among various stakeholders (4).

In addition, it would enable Direct Booking and Self-checkout experience as well as prepare our software for externalization (to be used by external agents who are not yet familiar with Tourlane supply).

Before we start... We have to understand first the structure of the entire system, objective of indivisual service, as well as its main user groups.

Status Quo Research
  • Desk research: What we’ve known?
  • How can we improve current process?
        -     How does each stakeholder work on Activity now?
        -     Do we need Map Search as in Accommodation?
  • What other parts in the platform would be affected?

“Data” investigation
  • What kind of data we receive/get?
        -     Prioritisation
        -     Is there Variation factors by Destination
  • How can we fit them all in a flexible strucutre?
  • What (parameters) can be used to connect between tools/databases

Milestone 2: Get the RightPrice

Supplier Portal - Travel Product no longer requires to manually check Rate and Price from hundreds of spreadsheets, Copy & Paste texts to each Trip Template they create; instead, they would need to simply search (Miltestone 4 implementation), the selected item will be inserted into every trip with real priceavailability update. 

No More Manual Work, No More Human Errors.
