Berry Lamp (2012)
In summer of 2012, I was inspired by original environment at Domaine de Boisbuchet, in which you can find as much amazing masterpiece created by nature as you want through observe carefully. Any one of them can be contextually developed into a design idea.
As my very first design project, I struggled but learnt a lot; After few days of non giving up, by choosing bulbs to represent the berries, I want to transmit the warm feeling and hope of light to people. In addition, bulbs and electrical systems are both familiar to me due to my Electrical Engineering background. Most important, I experienced and at the same time enjoyed so much in every way of creation.
Product Concept
Bulb: The tightly connected, full of life and fruitful image retrieved from berries.
Pedestal: Emphasize the robustness of stone while consider it as one natural element in design.
Color: Choose simple combination of colors such as white, gray and black to make “ZEN” atmosphere.
Changeable light effect: By connecting bulbs together from top, user can choose any bulb to power and experience the changeable light effect.
